**In a big hurry today! Off to take the girls to a homeschool Christmas party this afternoon. Glad I finally got Ab Ripper in this week! I skipped it all week! (I could tell too, OUCH!) Got a few extra calories burned by getting my heart rate up. Also, I lost just a couple ounces shy of 2 pounds this week! That's about 5 pounds since I first weighed in last Tuesday! Makes me happy!

Strength and Cardio: P90x Legs and Back

**I really dogged it today. I only did about 3/4 of the workout. Probably not even that. This morning I woke up sick. Didn't start feeling right until about 2:30. I wasn't going to workout at all, but... a little didn't hurt. I hate dogging this workout too, when you work hard at it, it's a killer! Oh well.

I have been doing fabulously with my eating. Tomorrow is weigh in day, and I can't wait!

**I didn't get to do the 2nd half (balance poses) earlier today. That is a bummer too, because that is my favorite part! But we did the first half. (My DH doesn't like 90 minutes, so he doesn't do the second half) Not a great calorie burn, but I did do a lot of housework today. Not that I like to count that! Tomorrow is legs and back. It seems to come back around quicker than I would like! ;)

*I needed to do abs today. oops. I am definitely going to do it tomorrow! This workout went really well! In fact.... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!

I curled a full set of 20 pound weights for the first time in a workout, TWICE!!!!

*This week was SO much better than last weeks workout! First of all, I stuck with it and did all the moves. I couldn't even stick with it last week. It's nice to know I'm getting my stamina back. I burned a little over a 100 more calories this week! I was working much harder!

My calories have been great for the past two days. The only day that I really didn't do that well was Saturday. It was a friends birthday and he wanted us to eat with them at Olive Garden. The worst possible place to pick!!!! Oh well, it was good and I made sure to enjoy it!

I changed my weigh in day to Friday, I just like Friday better. No chance of weekend water weight. :) I did end up loosing 3 pounds since last Tuesday though! So that makes me really happy.

*It was nice to have a couple days break after a hard first week back in the game! Since I work out with my DH I keep my heart rate up between sets by doing jumping jacks or running in place. It really helps!

*Today was yoga day! It's the first time we've done this video in a LONG time. And I could tell! I have lost flexibility and strength! I managed to get through the moves, barely. I look forward to improving in this workout! Also, because the workout is SO long, Jason and I never do the whole thing. I did the 2nd half (40 minute balance lunges) earlier today, and we did the 1st half (50 minutes) together this evening. It made for a very active day!

P90x Plyometrics (Cardio)

*Today the DH and I did this workout for the first time in months. Yikes! It was a killer, and I was a joke! But I managed to get through it with some modified moves. This week we decided to start the program over, for real this time. I am thrilled that he is joining me in that! I learned that I can't really stay committed on my own. Also he and I talked about where we are in starting this time around, as to where we were last time. When we first started, we could barely get through a workout. It took us about 4 weeks just to be able to do the moves. THIS time, while it's tough to get back in the groove, we can still DO the moves. That is a huge improvement! We should be able to see big changes in round 2.

I also was brave enough to get on the scale this morning. I have gained almost 5 pounds. That's annoying, but... I've done worse. :) I really want to get on track with my eating NOW before Christmas. Working out on a regular basis again will help. (This is yesterdays workout, I am working out this evening with my DH!)

*Whew! Tough workouts! But great! My favorite workouts are the arms!!! So today it was all worth it. :) Tomorrow is legs and back. In case you haven't heard me say it before, I hate... HATE the leg workout. It is a killer. But I do burn over 600 calories, so BRING IT!!! ;)

Cardio: Treadmill Intervals and extra walking, 55 minutes

*Today would have been a great day, but I gave in to a couple handfuls of greasy popcorn at the movies. I made up for it though with a chicken salad for dinner, so my calories are right on target for the day. I was on the treadmill this evening, and after spending my 35 minutes running intervals I decided to keep walking while a show I was watching was on. (a very fast paced walk!) So that helped balance out that naughty popcorn. :)

*I was going to hop on the treadmill and hope to burn a few extra calories, while I was in the mood. BUT while I was doing my workout, my sugar crashed. I managed to finish my workout, but it was kind of a dumb thing to do! I started counting calories again today, and failed to have any sugar all day, whatsoever. I didn't think about that prior to working out! I hate it when I do that! Strength training requires a little reserve to burn through! Ugh... Afterward I drank a muscle recovery drink, so that will get some sugar pumping through my veins. Note to self... prep your body to maximize your results!

I've really sucked at keeping this journal. It doesn't mean I don't work out, just that I am the worst blogger! :) But I'm giving it a go... once again. I am rearranging my day to fit my workouts in before our classes start in the morning. I am hoping it helps me quit being inconsistent!

Cardio: Treadmill

*I just did an easy jog today for about 25 minutes total. Trying to get the week off on the right foot, when I am really having a hard time getting motivated.

My eating has been terrible. I am insisting that I get myself under control immediately. The Holidays will absolutely destroy me if I don't. Tomorrow is a new day!
